Experience
& Impact

Kintari brings more than 20 years of experience working alongside organisations and communities across regional and remote Western Australia.

Perth, Western Australia

Case 1  |   Operational & Strategic Leadership - Resource Sector

Current Engagement

  • Engaged as strategic and operational leader for an Aboriginal-owned resource sector contractor in regional WA.

  • Contract profitability analysis identified a contract at 5% margin. Labour rate renegotiation increased profitability from 12% to 25%, generating $800,000 in additional pure profit per year.

  • Strategic plan enabled two contract extension proposals — one growing the client's contract responsibility from 25% to 65% over five years. Both proposals extremely well received.

  • Design and implementation of Cultural Mentors across 200+ workforce, reducing turnover to below 5%.

Case 2  |  Strategic Growth and Organisational Transformation

Ngarliyarndu Bindirri Group (2017 – 2025)

  • Led organisational transformation across operations, HR, financial, and people systems to support sustained growth.

  • Revenue $8M → $17M; workforce 120 → 230; external funding $400k → $1M; $100M+ in local wages delivered over ten years.

  • Led strategy renewal and tender processes, securing contracts exceeding $43M.

Case 3  |  Community & Social Impact

Aboriginal Corporations (2008 – 2025)

  • Raised over $1M in donations to re-establish local postal services in a regional community.

  • Delivered community employment and training pathways supporting 230+ local jobs, >50% Indigenous engagement, totalling over $90M in local wages.

  • Developed and delivered an Education Support program assisting over 500 children across regional WA.

Case 4  |  Program Design & Evaluation

Aboriginal Corporations (2008 – 2025)

  • Re-designed a community focused work-ready program, supporting 78 participants over 4 years, with an 80% success rate.

  • Design and implemented Cultural Mentors across 200+ workforce, reducing turnover to below 5%

  • Developed and delivered over 40 programs, benefitting over 1200+ members across Australia, totalling over $40M annually.

Case 5  |  Governance and Compliance

Aboriginal Corporations (2008 - 2025)

  • Designed and implemented governance frameworks, financial controls, and compliance structures across five entities.

  • Successfully completed four financial audits and one ORIC examination. No compliance issues identified across any entity.

  • Implemented segregation of duties, financial delegation frameworks, and board reporting structures that underpinned five consecutive clean audits.

Note sure where to start? Kintari offers three structured entry points designed to give you clarity and direction before committing to a longer engagement.

Closing the Gap

Kintari's services are directly aligned with the National Agreement on Closing the Gap (2020), the WA Closing the Gap Implementation Plan (2023–2025), and the policy landscape facing Aboriginal Corporations, ACCOs, and government departments across Western Australia.

  • Governance is now a funding condition — under Priority Reform 2 of the National Agreement, ACCOs must demonstrate strong governance as a condition of government funding.

  • WA 2026–2028 Implementation Plan is in development — new program mandates and accountability requirements will create fresh entry points for organisations needing governance and strategic support.

  • ORIC examination risk — examination failure is estimated at $100,000–$200,000 in remediation costs, plus funding suspension risk. Proactive investment with Kintari costs a fraction of this.

  • Social impact reporting — the Productivity Commission monitors all 19 Closing the Gap targets annually. Kintari provides the measurement and evaluation frameworks to meet this obligation credibly.
